Terms of Use
Last updated: 12 October 2026
These Terms of Use are the rules for using OneTill. Please read them before you use the app. By installing or using OneTill you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. See also our Privacy Policy.
In plain English
- OneTill is a record-keeping tool for your shop. Your records live on your phone: back them up, because we cannot get them back.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of your records and for following your local tax and trading laws.
- The free version shows ads. Remove ads is a one-time purchase. Pro is an optional subscription billed by Google Play that renews automatically until you cancel, and you can cancel any time in Google Play.
- We provide the app "as is" and our liability is limited as the law allows; your consumer rights stay intact.

1. Definitions
- "OneTill" or "the app" means the OneTill point-of-sale application published by OrionApps, including updates.
- "We", "us" and "OrionApps" means the publisher of the app.
- "You" means the person or business using the app.
- "Shop data" means everything you enter or create in the app: items, prices, photos, sales, customers, expenses, settings and so on.
- "Pro" means the optional paid subscription that unlocks additional features. "Remove ads" means the one-time purchase that turns ads off.
2. Who can use OneTill and what it is
You may use OneTill if you are old enough to enter a binding agreement where you live and you are using it for a shop or similar business. If you use it for a business, you confirm you can accept these terms for that business.
OneTill helps you record sales, stock, customers, expenses and receipts on your phone. It is a record-keeping aid. It is not accounting, tax, legal or financial advice, and its receipts may not satisfy every local rule for invoices. Check the requirements that apply to you.
3. Licence
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use OneTill on devices you own or control, for your own business, under these terms.
The app is licensed, not sold. You may not copy it for distribution, sell or rent it, remove notices from it, or reverse engineer it, except where the law lets you do so regardless of this clause.
4. Your data, PIN and backups
OneTill has no account. Your shop data lives on your phone and is protected by your PIN. Keep your PIN private: anyone who knows it can use the app on that phone.
We do not hold a copy of your shop data. If you uninstall the app, erase its data, or lose, reset or damage the phone, your data may be gone for good and we cannot recover it. Make backups regularly in More → Backup & restore and keep them somewhere safe. The "Erase all data" option permanently deletes everything on the phone.
You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter (prices, tax settings, stock counts, customer balances) and for following the tax, consumer-protection and record-keeping laws that apply to your shop, including any rules about customer information you store.
5. Purchases, subscriptions and refunds
- Remove ads is a one-time purchase that turns ads off for the Google account that bought it.
- OneTill Pro is an optional subscription with the features listed on the subscription screen. It is offered with weekly, monthly or yearly billing and may include a free trial. The price, billing period and trial length are shown on the subscription screen, in your local currency, before you subscribe.
- Purchases and subscriptions are billed by Google Play. If a free trial is offered, your first payment is taken when the trial ends unless you cancel before it ends.
- Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period and price until you cancel.
- How to cancel: in the Google Play Store app go to Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions, choose OneTill and cancel. See Google's guide to cancelling, pausing or changing a subscription. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription. Cancel at least a day before renewal to avoid the next charge.
- After you cancel, Pro keeps working until the end of the period you already paid for.
- Refunds follow Google Play's refund policy and your local consumer law. We never see your card or payment details.
- We may change prices or features. Google Play tells you about price changes to an existing subscription and asks for your agreement where required.
6. Acceptable use
When you use OneTill you must not:
- use it for anything unlawful, deceptive or fraudulent, including keeping false sales records to mislead tax authorities or customers;
- try to bypass the PIN, the ads, the purchase checks or any limit on features, or share paid access in ways Google Play does not allow;
- click ads on purpose or by arrangement to generate revenue, or use bots or scripts to do so;
- interfere with the app, its updates or Google's services, or attempt to extract the app's code or data from other people's devices;
- use the app to store or send unlawful content, or content that infringes other people's rights.
If you break these rules we may limit or end your access, as described in section 12.
7. Ads and third-party services
The free version shows advertising supplied by Google AdMob. OneTill also uses Google Play for purchases and, if you allow it, Google Firebase Analytics for anonymous statistics. These services run under Google's own terms and policies. Ads are produced by third parties; we do not control their content and are not responsible for it.
The app may link to websites or services we do not run, including those you send backups, exports or receipts to. We are not responsible for them. What these services collect is explained in our Privacy Policy.
8. Intellectual property
The OneTill name, logo, design, code and content are owned by OrionApps or its licensors and are protected by law. These terms give you no ownership of them.
Your shop data stays yours. You give us no rights over it, since it never leaves your phone unless you send it. If you send us something (for example a crash report or feedback), you allow us to use it to fix and improve the app.
9. Privacy
How information is handled is explained in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
10. Disclaimers and limits on our liability
No warranty
To the fullest extent the law allows, OneTill is provided "as is" and "as available", without promises that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for every phone or purpose.
Limit on liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, OrionApps is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits or sales, lost data, or business interruption arising from your use of, or inability to use, OneTill. This includes loss caused by a lost or damaged phone, not making a backup, wrong settings or entries, or ads shown by third parties. Our total liability for any claim connected with the app is limited to what you paid us for it in the 12 months before the claim (or a nominal amount for the free version).
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, and nothing removes consumer rights you have under the law of your country.
11. Your responsibility for claims
To the extent the law allows, you agree to cover us for claims or losses brought by someone else that arise from your own unlawful use of the app, from records you create in it, or from your breach of these terms. We will tell you promptly about any such claim and cooperate reasonably. This clause does not apply to anyone who is a consumer where the law does not allow it.
12. Suspension and ending your use
You can stop using OneTill at any time by uninstalling it, and by cancelling any subscription as described in section 5.
We may suspend or end your access to paid features, or to the app, if:
- you seriously or repeatedly break these terms;
- we are required to by law or by Google Play's rules; or
- we stop providing the app (we will give reasonable notice where we can).
If you think we made a mistake, email support@orionapps.com and we will look at it.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the country where OrionApps is established, and that country's courts can hear disputes, unless mandatory consumer law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim, or to rely on the law, in your own country.
Please contact us first at support@orionapps.com; most problems can be sorted out quickly without a formal dispute.
14. General provisions
- Changes. We may update these terms, for example when we add features. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is important we will tell you in the app. Using the app after a change means you accept it.
- Entire agreement. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the app.
- If part is invalid. If a part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
- No waiver. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we have not given it up.
- Transfer. You may not transfer your rights under these terms. We may transfer ours if we sell or hand over the app.
- Language. If these terms are translated, the English version prevails where the law allows.
15. Children
OneTill is a business tool and is not directed to children. Please do not use it if you are below the age at which you can enter a contract where you live. If you think a child has used the app, contact us at support@orionapps.com.
